This church stood on the west side of the Market Square and, unusually, provided a home for at least three separate parishes which did not have their own individual places of worship. A grand apsidal east end, similar to St Bartholomew the Great in London Smithfield, has been excavated. As a monastic property the church closed at the Reformation and was incorporated into commercial buildings, although fragments may still be seen.
